Red Meat, poor red meat, gets a bad wrap. No red meat won’t kill you and it won’t make you fat….. Not on its own. If you eat red meat and smoke, eat red meat and drink too much, eat red meat and not exercise, could be a real health threat just like eating vegetables and smoking, eat vegetables and drinking too much…… You get the picture. Because of past INACCURATE research assumptions, the prevailing bias for those who were health conscious was to avoid red meat but they also made better lifestyle choices! Like, not smoking, not drinking, and getting adequate exercise! If you are a health conscious person and you hear red meat is bad for you then of course you avoid it along with avoiding other poor lifestyle choices. But, meat is not the bad guy!
